BHRUT: Referrals to GP Direct Access Independent Sector Community Diagnostic Services and Omnes eRS guides

Posted on:

GPs wishing to refer patients to community diagnostic services are reminded that they only need to make the referral through the IS (community services) providers route and should not have to make a ‘duplicate’ referral to BHRUT.

Sending duplicate referrals causes patients to be double booked at both providers and can be confusing for patients and lead to missed appointments.

Please use the relevant referral forms should you wish to make a community diagnostic service referral.

We have been informed that duplication is mostly seen in MRI and Ultrasound services so both these referral forms have been attached for ease.

How to find Omnes on ErS

We have also produced guides on how to find Omnes on eRS for Cardiology and Ultrasound services to help with referrals.
