Reminder to BHR practices about using 111 to book GP out of hours appointments
People in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge should now be using NHS 111 to book out of hours GP appointments. The old GP Hubs line in BHR was decommissioned last year but is still getting a high number of calls from patients trying to book appointments out of hours.
GP appointments are available seven days a week; this includes weekday evenings, weekends and bank holidays. When a surgery is closed, people across north east London can call NHS 111 to book an out of hours appointment.
Help spread the word:
- Update materials, including websites, which mention the old GP Hubs number (020 3770 1888) and replace this with NHS 111
- Display the attached image in surgeries in BHR

People in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge may have missed the number to book an out of hours appointment has changed, you can now simply call NHS 111 when your surgery is closed.
