COVID-19 Vaccine Group Direction (VGD): PRN02434

The COVID-19 VGD has now been published by NHS England and is available via the following link:

This VGD (and COVID-19 PGD) have already been organisationally approved by NHS England so may be used by the workforce, subject to the usual declarations and local approvals in section 7.
Please note that unlike the National Protocols, due to changes in the Human Medicines Regulations, Nursing associates (and operating department practitioners) are no longer to operate under step 1 of the VGD (clinical assessment and consent), as they are not a professional group able to work under a PGD.
