‘Collaborating for health equity in north east London’, 9am-1.30pm, 5 November, Tower Hamlets Town Hall

Posted on:

Tackling health inequalities in north east London is at the core of our ambition working as an integrated health and care system. All partners are passionate about reducing the unfair and avoidable inequalities that exist within and between our communities in north east London, and there are many examples of great work that are taking place to challenge the status quo and improve health equity for the benefit of local people.

Building on the success of last year’s ‘Creating health equity in north east London’ event, we will be holding a second event this year, bringing together partners working across north east London to:

  • Showcase, celebrate and share good practice around a broad range of work happening to reduce health inequalities in north east London
  • Explore as a system the challenges we face in tackling health inequalities, and how we might start to overcome these

We are pleased that Professor Kevin Fenton, Regional Public Health Director at NHS London, will be providing the keynote speech for this event.

This is an opportunity open to anyone working in health and care within north east London who is interested in reducing health inequalities, to come together to share learning and solve problems together. If you have any examples of good practice in reducing health inequalities that you would like to share from your area, then please let us know by completing and returning the case study template. A selection of case studies will be given the opportunity to present at the event ‘Marketplace’, and all case studies will be shared in the event papers and on our NEL Health Inequalities Academy website.

Please register to attend this event here.

We will circulate more details of the event in due course.

Please note that places at this event are limited and we would encourage you to register early to secure your spot. For more information or any questions, please contact nelondonicb.healthequityacademy@nhs.net.

This website is for healthcare professions only.

It is not for public use.
