4CMenB One-Off Student Vaccination Programme — Starting Next Week
4CMenB One-Off Student Vaccination Programme — Starting Next Week
The 4CMenB (Bexsero) vaccination programme launches on Monday 20 July 2026. From this date, you can begin offering 4CMenB vaccinations to eligible patients through your pharmacy.
Full guidance on vaccine supply, ordering, and delivery is now available on both Futures and on FDP. We strongly encourage you to read this before the service starts, particularly if you are already delivering the COVID-19 vaccination programme, as the ordering and allocation processes differ.
Before your first vaccination, please check the following:
- You are assured for the 4CMenB vaccine on FDP
- You have met the requirements below, which must be in place before an allocation will appear on the FDP Supply Dashboard:
- You have registered for the service by 23:59 on 20 July 2026 at the latest, noting that it will take 5 to 10 day to be setup and refer to your original confirmation email for instructions on accessing the required systems.
- You have listed at least 100 appointments per month on NBS from the Service Commencement Date
- Your NBS appointments are available at various times across your full opening hours, including late afternoons and Saturdays
- You have at least one NBS booking confirmed from 20 July 2026
- You have an allocation showing on the FDP Supply Dashboard. You must have an allocation before you can place an order
- You have placed an order on FDP if you have bookings on NBS
- You know your assigned delivery day and the corresponding order cut-off deadline
You must ensure that your NBS booked appointments are scheduled for dates after your confirmed vaccine delivery. Review your available appointments against your expected delivery date and plan your bookings around your fixed delivery day and vaccine supply.
Managing your appointment capacity
Providers are responsible for managing their own vaccination capacity and appointment availability in line with their vaccine orders and scheduled delivery days. You must ensure that your NBS appointments reflect when you will actually have vaccine in stock.
If you currently have booked appointments listed before your expected delivery date, please review and adjust your booking capacity as soon as possible.
If you have not yet completed your site acknowledgement on the FDP Supply Dashboard, please do so as soon as possible as this is the vital first step to be completed in the allocation and ordering process. Full details are available in the supply and ordering guidance.
For queries, please contact your ICB in the first instance using the escalation template.
We look forward to working with you on this important programme.
Kind Regards
RVOC
