2024/25 Directed Enhanced Services (DES) quarterly claim form

The North East London 2024/2025 Direct Enhanced Services Sign up will soon be available to all GP Practices in North East London.

A further email will be sent for sign up, with the link to MS forms.

The following National Direct Enhanced Services will be available this year:     

Learning Disabilities Health Check Scheme – the guidance and audit requirements for the learning disabilities ES remain unchanged and are set out in the 2015/16 GMS guidance. Requirements relating to 2015/16 dates in the guidance should be applied to 2024/2025 The payment for each health check is £140.  Information relating to coding for this is available in the Technical requirements for 2017/18, found here: https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/a-summary-and-overview-of-the-learning-disability-annual-health-check-electronic-clinical-template-2017/

Weight Management – For North East London, this ES continues from previous year. The payment for each referral is £11.50. Minor Surgery – For North East London this ES continues from previous year. Practices that provide the Minor Surgery DES must claim on the quarterly practice claim form (refer to attached quarterly claim form) and submit with the information extracted from their clinical system (validation report) in order for a payment to be validated by the submission deadline. Please ensure there is no patient identifiable data on the extraction. To note practices need to confirm if they are referral practices and the levels of provision- please see Minor Surgery Tab on claim form.

Practices are reminded that all performers/practitioners that are due re-accreditation for 2024/2025 for Minor Surgery should complete their re-accreditation before it expires, otherwise claims for payment may be withheld. If you have any queries regarding your re-accreditation please email the primary team nelondon.primarycareclaims@nhs.net. Please contact us if you require details of the specification again.

Safeguarding LIS –  The Safeguarding LIS specification has continued after March 2024, pending further review.

Please note – practice sign up for enhanced services will carry over from 2023-24 until new sign up for 2024-25 has been completed.

Payments – For financial year 2024/2025, the deadlines for submitting claims will remain as in financial year 2023-24. The deadline for submitting claims to the North East London Primary Care Team nelondon.primarycareclaims@nhs.net the 10th of the month after the end of the quarter for quarterly claims and the 10th of each month for monthly claims. This has been put in place to ensure the efficient processing of payments within the month being claimed. Claims submitted after the deadline date may be processed in the month after.

Please note:

When emailing please include in your email the following:  subject should start with Practice Code and Name followed by “(Place ie CH, WF, B&D)” and the reason for the email (i.e. F84323_The One Surgery (CH) etc.). 

1. If you have not provided any of the above enhanced services before please contact the North East London Primary Care Central Team as you may need to complete further application forms required for completion.
2. If there are any changes to your Minor Surgery provision from the previous year please contact the North East London primary care Team for further guidance.
3. Locum Reimbursements – Please ensure claims for planned leave (Maternity & Paternity) are requested in advance to timely approval.  Ongoing locum reimbursements including sick leave should be claimed on a monthly basis to ensure payment is timely.
