Urgent Levemir® Discontinuation Update: Accelerate Patient Switching

URGENT: Levemir® discontinuation – additional support for practices ahead of the 30 November deadline

To support practices with the ongoing Levemir® discontinuation, additional time-limited clinical support is available through the NELFT remote Levemir® switch clinic for eligible patients in Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, and through MORPh Clinical Services across North East London.

These support offers provide additional clinical capacity for eligible patients and do not replace switching undertaken by GP practices or existing specialist diabetes pathways. Further expedited pathway arrangements with other providers are being finalised, with more information for general practices to follow shortly. Practices should continue reviewing and switching patients where they have the appropriate clinical expertise, using existing specialist diabetes pathways where needed.
