London Immunisation Team – Claims and Payments Update

Posted on:

Dear Practice Colleagues,

As you may be aware, NHS England is currently undergoing a significant organisational restructure, including integration with the Department of Health and Social Care. As part of these changes, certain functions, including public health, will transfer to Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), currently scheduled for April 2027. In addition, a substantial number of staff within the London Region are leaving the organisation through a voluntary redundancy scheme.

Regrettably, the London Region Immunisation Team is also affected. Zoe Sullivan, the team’s Payments Officer who has managed your payments and queries for the past decade, will be leaving the organisation on Friday 12 June. Zoe’s knowledge, expertise and commitment have been invaluable, and her departure will be keenly felt.

Our immediate priority will be to process claims relating to the most recent extraction period (May 2026) and to ensure that the associated payments for that month are made. While we will make every effort to process all other claims within the usual six‑month timeframe, some delays may occur as colleagues transition into new roles and familiarise themselves with the processes involved.

We would therefore like to advise practices that there may be delays in the processing of CQRS claims and associated payments, particularly in relation to queries concerning inaccurate or incorrect submissions. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding during this transitional period.

To help minimise delays, we kindly ask for your support in ensuring that all claims are thoroughly checked for accuracy prior to submission. In particular, please ensure:

  • Claims for more than 10 vaccinations given for these programmes: HPV, Neonatal Hep B, MenACWY, Maternal pertussis and Maternal RSV must accurately reflect doses administered by your practice and are not incorrectly declared if they have been given by another Provider.
  • All claims are submitted in a timely manner, particularly during the flu vaccination season (in line with national submission timelines).
  • Patient and activity data entered into your GP IT system is complete and accurate at the point of submission to ensure that the extraction into CQRS is correct.
  • When you ask for an amendment in CQRS via email, please include a completed claim form (attached) together with system evidence (eg screenshots) to support the claim.

You should continue to send any queries to the usual Imms generic inbox, where they will be managed as promptly as possible.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.

Kind regards

Dawn Hollis
