Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)
MASH is part of Children’s Social Care in Waltham Forest.
It’s the first point of contact for concerns about a child’s safety or welfare. All referrals for children’s social care (whether for disabled or non‑disabled children) are first processed through MASH

If a child is at immediate risk of harm please use the emergency number 999 or contact your local police on 101.
If you don’t believe the risk requires immediate action, contact the MASH team to discuss your concerns with a social worker.

The telephone line is open between 9am and 5pm Mon to Fri only, excluding bank holidays. Outside of office hours, if your concerns are urgent, you can call Emergency Duty Team on 020 8496 3000.
