NEL Service Alerts process has now re-opened
Further to the 30 April message of a three-week suspension of the NEL (TNW) Service Alerts process, please be advised that the service is back up and running as before. The alerts that we received during that three-week suspension have now been forwarded to the relevant providers for investigation, albeit with delay.
We are aware that while some GPs continued to send alerts in the usual way, there was a significant number who have been contacting providers or clinical leads directly, believing the process remained suspended. We apologise for the confusion and lack of updated communications and would like to invite GPs to revert to the usual process
As we progress our re-structure and new operating model, we will be in contact to agree a future model for the alerts system.
The City & Hackney alerts process, which sits outside the NEL (mostly TNW) service alerts process and is operated jointly by the Homerton and C&H place leads, was not affected and continues to function normally – apologies for not being clear as we understand there was some confusion around this service as well.
