At Serious Shortage Protocols (SSPs) have been issued today for Creon® 10000 capsules (SSP060) and Creon® 25000 capsules (SSP061)

The SSPs will restrict the amount of these medicines that can be provided to patients to one-month’s supply. Under SSP regulations, patients who receive less medicine when supplied in accordance with these SSPs will not have to pay prescription charges.

The SSPs are now available to view onthe NHS Business Service Authority (BSA)’s dedicated SSP web page along with supporting endorsement guidance.
