Webinar – Innovation to promote equality in MMR campaigns Monday 21 August, 5pm to 6.30pm

This webinar will share innovative practice to increase equality of access in MMR catch-up campaigns, including lessons from the COVID-19 vaccine rollout and opportunities to make every contact count. It is aimed at GPs and general practice staff, vaccination and regional equalities leads, public health officers, and communications and engagement leads working to increase uptake of childhood vaccinations among all community groups.

Programme will be confirmed, but speakers include:

  • Dr Tehseen Khan, GP at Spring Hill Practice, Senior Clinical Advisor Covid Vaccination Programme NHS England – London – A practice approach to increasing routine childhood immunisations in the Charedi community
  • Cathren Armstrong, Sandwell Council, A holistic approach to increasing childhood vaccinations in diverse communities
  • Dr Muhammad Naqvi, GP at Woodgrange Practice, NEL (North East London), NEL Clinical Lead for Imms and Screening – A practice approach to increasing COVID-19 vaccinations in diverse communities
  • Panel Question and Answers session – Tehseen, Cathren, Muhammed

This event is for those working to increase uptake of childhood vaccinations, particularly the MMR vaccine, among all of our community groups. Places will be prioritised for GPs and staff working in general practice, local and national vaccination leads including those at ICS and local authorities, public health officers,  regional equalities leads, communications and engagement leads working on vaccination rollout.
