Dear colleagues,

Following the successful pilot programme over the past two years to develop the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework for General Practice (GP PSIRF), we are now expanding and welcoming more GP practices, PCNs, Federations, and ICBs to participate.

We would like to invite you to join the free programme to strengthen patient safety in general practice. This supportive initiative will help practices improve safety systems while preparing for potential future rollout.

More details can be found on this webpage.

By joining, you will:

  • Get ahead of potential national rollout with dedicated support
  • Strengthen your approach to patient safety with tailored guidance
  • Develop skills through interactive webinars and peer learning
  • Learn from real-world examples from general practice
  • Shape the future of patient safety in general practice

What’s involved?

  • Participation in webinars, check-ins, and local testing of improvement approaches
  • Sharing your experience and feedback of implementing PSIRF
  • Approx. 1.5 days per month commitment

Ready to sign up to the programme? Complete this registration form by 6th July 2026

We are also holding a webinar on 30th June 1 – 2pm to share about the results of the pilot and more on this year’s programme. To join us please register here.

Places are limited, thus early registration ensures you are able to receive support through the programme.

Please share this with colleagues who may be interested.

If you have any questions, please get in touch.
