The vitamins can be collected from all community pharmacies in Hackney, and two in the City (Boots on Aldgate High Street and Niemans chemist on Goswell Road). Use of parenteral trace elements and vitamin A in bariatric patients
The JPG agreed to approve the use of parenteral copper, selium, zinc and vitamin A for the treatment of severe defficiencies in patients undergoing bariatric surgery. These preparations should only be prescribed by the bariatric team. Formulary status - Hospital only
