NICE NG144 recommends Sativex® for severe treatment refractory multiple sclerosis related spasticity, initiated by a spasticity specialist which may be continued under a shared care agreement by non-specialists in primary care. This service is not provided at Homerton therefore it has a hospital only status, but if your patient has been referred to the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) there is an approved Shared Care Guideline to support the transfer of prescribing of Sativex® to primary care. |
