Sharing good practice webinar: Enabling GP Practice Online Appointment Booking via the NHS App
Dear Colleagues,
Sharing good practice webinar: Enabling GP Practice Online Appointment Booking via the NHS App
We are pleased to invite GP practices to attend an upcoming London Region webinar on Tuesday 12th May 2026 at 12.30 designed to share case studies of GP practices that provide online appointment booking via the NHS App. Appointment booking is one of the core functionalities of the NHS App stipulated in GP Contract 2026/27requirements.
This webinar will showcase some GP practices who are using the functionality and allow you to:
- Hear directly from GP practices that have enabled appointment booking via the NHS App
- Ask questions about benefits and challenges encountered by these practices’ experiences
- Receive signposting to Optum EMIS, TPP SystmOne and Medicus clinical system configuration resources
We appreciate that many GP practices express how direct online appointment booking does not align well to their total triage approach and the limitations to ensure the right patient books the correct appointment according to their need, which leads them to using self-book appointment links instead. We hope this webinar will be a great opportunity to explore these concerns with practices who are offering online appointment booking to see if any of their approaches might suit your practice too.
The session will also be recorded, so you can revisit the content or share it with colleagues who are unable to attend. This will be the link to view the recording after the webinar has taken place: https://nhslondon.short.gy/nhsapp/appointmentbookingwebinar
We look forward to seeing you there.
Please forward this invite onto your GP Practices.
Thank you,
Digital Transformation – Primary Care London Region Team
