Help shape future for surgical services across north east London
At NHS North East London, we are currently reviewing the standards that are asked of providers delivering some elective surgical services to make sure patients get the best possible care. Surgical services that are part of this work focus on Ear, Nose and Throat, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Trauma and Orthopaedics, and Urology.
As referring clinicians we would really value your insight, experience and view on these services to feed into this work.
Our aim is to ensure services deliver high quality care and represent best value, as well as making sure that services meet the changing needs of the population, reduce waiting times, and make the best use of resources. We also remain committed to supporting patient choice throughout these improvements.
We are at the early stages of this and no changes to contracts or decisions have been made.
To help shape the future of these services, we would encourage you to share your opinions through a survey. Whilst the wording of the questions is aimed at the public, as we’re seeking their views as well, please use this survey to answer from your experience referring into these services. This may mean you need to answer ‘not applicable’ or ‘no’ for some questions which are not as relevant as a clinician, but please do continue through the survey to provide your valuable insight.
The survey will be open until Wednesday 16 October 2024.
We will continue to keep you informed of this programme as it progresses. If you would like more information about the work in the meantime please do get in touch with us (nelondonicb.nelcommunications@nhs.net)
