Waiting list information on e-RS and the NHS App

From Tuesday 12 December, the waiting time to treatment methodology used within e-RS will change to reflect the mean (average) waiting time.
This will align e-RS with the approach used in the My Planned Care Patient Portal since April 2021. It follows engagement with patients and stakeholders who advised that an average waiting time is easier for patients to understand and inform their decisions.
An NHS App pilot with one trust has also trialled showing the mean (average) waiting time to patients referred into a speciality. A national rollout to all acute trusts is expected in early 2024.
