Urgent – Sanofi Flu Supply Update

We know that many of you will have been sighted on the communication providers received from Sanofi on Tuesday evening and wanted to keep you appraised of the situation. The National Team have been working with the flu suppliers to mitigate the risk of this batch failure and to ensure that there is sufficient alternative vaccine available for sites to order.

We have been told that CSL Seqirus have adequate stock available and providers that were expecting Supemtek should contact CSL Seqirus to obtain an alternative vaccine as soon as possible.  National have also advised that CSL Seqirus will also be contacting those sites affected, however please do not wait to be contacted as this issue is affecting providers across England, and therefore there will be high demand for remaining vaccine stock.

We can confirm that hospital orders are not impacted, so the offer for pregnant women from 1 September will not be affected.
