Update on independent Freedom to Speak Up Guardian service for GP practices

Posted on:

On Thursday 29 May 2025 we launched our independent Freedom to Speak Up Guardian service for GP practice workers.  To support this service, we have created a Freedom to Speak Up section on the Primary Care Information Portal that contains information and resources that can be downloaded and printed. Since the launch in May, The Guardian Service has attended a number of engagement sessions with practice representatives as part of their awareness raising activities. These sessions offer valuable opportunities to learn more about the service and to get to know your Freedom to Speak Up Guardians. If there is an event or meeting that you would like The Guardian Service to attend, please get in touch with them via email on contact@theguardianservice.co.uk

In response to common questions we have started to create a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) area on the Freedom to Speak Up section of the portal. If you have any questions about the service, you can contact NHS NEL ICB or The Guardian Service (contact@theguardianservice.co.uk).

This website is for healthcare professions only.

It is not for public use.
