Supporting immunisation uptake for the Jewish Community

Posted on:

We are writing to inform you of an upcoming childhood immunisations campaign for the Jewish communities across London.

This campaign has been agreed by health and communications colleagues across the London health sector led by multiagency colleagues from the London Jewish Health Partnership in collaboration with the NHS Legacy and Health Equity Partnership, Charedi Women’s Health Alliance, UK Health Security Agency London, NHS London, North Central London and North East London ICBs, Hackney, Haringey, Barnet Councils and Public Health teams and PCNs and that will be launched on 4 December 2023 and will last until the end of January.

This campaign aims to take a new approach by launching a large multipronged campaign to address some of the key areas identified by partners working through three workstreams: schools, community, and primary care and will be formally evaluated.

To support the campaign and partners we have produced in partnership with colleagues a series of materials/resources that we would like you to use and display at your centres during the period of the campaign.

Please click the link here to download the following resources:

  • PCN tool kit – a guide that includes information about this specific campaign (background, why now?) and resources and tips to improve vaccine uptake in your area.
  • A Communications campaign pack – which outlines the communications resources available for this campaign
  • Digital resources – posters, adverts, stickers, FQA booklet. – If we haven’t been in touch with you already and you would like some of these resources printed, please get in touch with anazuriaga.alvaro@nhs.net, manager of the campaign, asap and no later than 1 December.

Please note that as the campaign will be evaluated, we will be aiming to review vaccine uptake rates in gp practices in Hackney, Haringey and Barnet which have a large number of Jewish population, over the course of the campaign.

Please do not hesitate to contact anazuriaga.alvaro@nhs.net, if you have any further queries regarding the campaign or if there would be any other aspect that you would find helpful to support vaccine uptake in this community during the campaign.
