Seasonal Influenza London Region SLA the 2024/25 Season update
The 3 SLAs have now been updated to include RSV, all links are now correct and working and also please note an extension to the original sign-up deadline.
Note: Shingles, PPV and RSV are vaccinations listed as Essential Services in the GP Contract and so can only be signed up to within this SLA document by GP practices or with GP practices signing as the commissioning (sub-contracting) organisation.
NHSE is pleased to announce it will be offering 3 SLAs to providers wishing to sign up this Flu Season.
- Unregistered SLA will enable GPs to provide unregistered populations (including children) with the seasonal flu vaccination and for eligible adults, shingles vaccination, and PPV.
- GP Confederation SLA will enable GP Confederation/PCNs to provide the flu vaccination to all eligible cohorts – again to provide additional capacity.
- Housebound SLA will enable District Nurse Services/GP Confederations/PCNs/GP to deliver seasonal flu, shingles, and PPV vaccinations to housebound patients that are not registered with the practice. Please note individual GP practices are already contracted to deliver these vaccinations to their housebound patients so the purpose of this SLA is to provide additional capacity and a governance structure to delegate responsibility of delivery of these vaccinations to an alternative provider. Housebound SLA is to only be used where the GP has delegated responsibility of vaccinating housebound patients to alternative provider and only where this has been agreed with their ICB. Claims for vaccinating your own housebound patients is only through CQRS and NOT this SLA.
