Safer sleep resources and information: March 2026
Following the recent success of Safer Sleep Week, please share the below information with your teams. We would appreciate your support in raising awareness amongst colleagues and parents on the importance of this campaign and integrating safe sleep advice into everyday practice.
đź’› Key Safer Sleep Messages
The Lullaby Trust’s expert guidance emphasises simple, evidence‑based practices that significantly reduce the risk of SIDS:
- Place babies on their back for every sleep.
- Keep the sleep space clear – no pillows, loose bedding, soft toys, or products near their face or head.
- Maintain a room temperature between 16–20°C.
- Room‑share with your baby for at least the first six months.
These core principles, combined with open conversations about sleep environments – including co‑sleeping – help parents create safer routines.
