Reminder of referral process to Rheumatology Service at Homerton Hospital
A reminder that referrals to the Homerton Rheumatology Service is via the advice and refer option only on e-RS from Tuesday 24 October 2023. The Advice and Guidance service will be closed from Friday 20 October 2023 to transition for advice requests to come through the Advice and Refer option. Please select ‘Advice’ under request type on e-RS or you will not be able to see the Homerton Rheumatology Service. There will also be a transition period for advice requests from Friday 20 October 2023 with Advice and Guidance closed to allow for Advice and Refer to be used for this.
Please let practice referral admin teams know as appropriate.

Homerton has created a GP educational video for adult Rheumatology referrals as part of the pilot for advice and refer, which includes a demonstration of assessing the hand and wrist for synovial joint swelling.
