PCIT Pilot Ending – Continuation Options for Practices and PCNs

Posted on:

As you may be aware, the North East London (NEL) ICB has been working with Primary Care IT (PCIT) as part of a time-limited pilot to provide digital support tools to a range of practices and PCNs across the area. This pilot is due to conclude on Friday 29th August 2025.

To enable us to gain feedback on these tools, please could you complete this evaluation survey by clicking here.

Key information for Practices and PCNs:

  • The PCIT pilot will end on Friday 29th August 2025.
  • Access to the PCIT tools provided through the pilot will cease after this date.
  • Practices and PCNs that wish to continue using the tools after this point can do so by liaising directly with PCIT.
  • Practices and PCNs not included in the pilot may also adopt the tools, provided they carry out their own local oversight and assurance processes.
  • NEL ICB anticipates carrying out a procurement process in due course, with a view to commissioning a digital support offer from April 2026.

We are aware that many practices and PCNs have found value in the tools during the pilot period. While the ICB is not currently in a position to extend funding beyond August 2025, practices are free to make their own local decisions about continued access to PCIT support if they feel it would be beneficial.
