NIN: UKHSA Immunisation Training Provider Short Survey

Dear colleagues,

There is currently considerable interest, both politically and professionally, in how staff achieve the required knowledge and expertise to ensure compliance with the National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training and what more could be done to support staff in achieving and maintaining their skills and competences in this important area of clinical practice.  UKHSA, NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care are working together on a significant piece of work to develop a Framework for Action on Immunisation Training. To be able to develop this we need to have a good baseline understanding in relation to the current landscape for training, any challenges and good practice.

We are collectively seeking, via this survey, to improve our national understanding of the current range of immunisation training providers that are currently available and who are providing services to frontline and other staff; to find out what training is taking place and how this is being accessed in practice; and in addition, what evidence there is for the effectiveness of current immunisation training content and approaches across the country.   

Your support in completing this survey will be invaluable in providing baseline evidence to support development of actions to improve the content of our training framework and will provide evidence to support the future action plan. 

We would be grateful if you could share the link to this survey with anyone who is involved in commissioning, providing, or delivering immunisation services as all views are welcomed across the immunisation pathway.
