- Help shape the new Equality, Diversity and Improvement (EDI) Plan for primary care – webinar 27 November
- NHS England have scheduled one final opportunity for colleagues from primary care, in clinical and non-clinical roles, to help shape the new EDI Improvement Plan for primary care. This session, being hosted outside core hours, will be your opportunity to discuss the programme underway, and contribute to this work, share reflections and help co-design and shape this new national resource. - EDI apprenticeship opportunity – nomination deadline 18 November
- An exciting apprenticeship opportunity developed by Henley Business School is available. The apprenticeship is based on Henley’s Senior Leader Apprenticeship for Future Leaders programme and will support personal development across seven thematic modules:
- Strategic management
- Managing change and innovation
- Corporate responsibility and ethics
- Financial management
- Personal development for future leaders
- Finding your leadership DNA
- Managing people and organisations
- Henley Business School are delivering the apprenticeship, with NHS England supporting through addition of contextualised information on equality, diversity, and inclusion. This will help ensure that EDI is the golden thread running throughout each module. The nomination deadline is approaching for a new apprenticeship designed to empower NHS managers to become leaders in the field of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). With both in-person and online learning, apprentices will learn the latest EDI practices through an NHS lens – and explore how to apply these practically to make a positive impact within the workplace. This is a new opportunity for managers at the start of their leadership journey, with a maximum of three years management experience. The apprenticeship will be delivered by Henley Business School and will be launched in 2025, with the first cohort beginning in February. Those who complete the programme will receive a Postgraduate Diploma in Management
- The apprenticeship is primarily targeted at those who currently work in EDI focused roles, as the modules involve practical assignments.
- As an apprenticeship the costs will be covered by the apprenticeship levy. Organisations will be expected to release any participating staff for approximately 1 day a week during the duration of the programme (14-16 months).
