NEL ICB Digital Tools Survey
Dear Colleagues,
We are writing to GP practices across North East London ICB to ask for your support in completing a short, anonymous survey on the digital and AI tools currently being used by GPs and practices.
The purpose of this survey is to help us develop a North East London GP Digital and AI Tool Framework, with a focus on supporting practices to safely and confidently adopt digital tools that have:
- Appropriate information governance oversight via the ICB DPO service
- Robust clinical safety assurance
- Clear indemnity and data protection arrangements in place
We are aware that many practices have understandably engaged directly with digital and AI suppliers. In some cases, this may mean that information governance or clinical safety assurance has not yet been fully reviewed at system level. This can create unintended risks around patient data protection, clinical safety, and indemnity.
At present, the AI tools that have been signed off through the ICB DPO process include:
- Accurx Scribe powered by Tandem
- Heidi Scribe Services
We are actively working with other suppliers, including Anima, to review and sign off additional tools.
This survey is fully anonymised.
We are not collecting patient information, practice names or addresses, or individual clinician details. The aim is not monitoring or enforcement, but rather to build an accurate picture of current usage so that we can prioritise support, approvals, and guidance for tools that practices are already using or wish to use.
If there are digital or AI tools that you are currently using, or tools you would like us to focus on reviewing and supporting, please highlight these in the survey.
Your input will directly inform how we support practices across North East London to adopt safe, compliant, and effective digital and AI solutions.
Thank you for your time and support.
Kind regards,
Dr Asad Ashraf
