Martyn’s Law webinar 10 November 2025
FAO: Practice Managers
You will be aware of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, more often referred to as Martyn’s Law, and there being a minimum period of 24 months from Thursday 3 April 2025 before the Act is implemented. Prior to its implementation, the Home Office will produce Statutory Guidance to support the Act and inform organisations further on their preparedness for compliance.
The NHS England National Estate Team is hosting a webinar on Monday 10 November 2025 between 1pm and 2.30pm to outline the work being undertaken to prepare systems for the implementation of the Act so far. The webinar will include inputs from:
• NHS England concerning their technical bulletin, assurance through the Premises Assurance Model and planned work
• Home Office upon the development of their guidance.
• Security Industry Authority upon their role as the Regulator
• National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) upon work with NHSE on the national counter terrorism security and readiness project
• NHS Trust(s) case study upon their preparations and planning for the Act
The webinar is free to join. It will be of most interest to colleagues working in the areas of Estates, EPRR, Security, Communications, Finance and, if you have nominated, the Designated Senior Individual(s). There is no requirement for colleagues to have NHS emails so stakeholders from PFIs, NHS Property Services etc may also register to join the webinar.
