London HIV Ambassadors
Are you interested in learning more about HIV, directly from people living with the virus? Do you want to help end new cases of HIV for good?
Then let me introduce you to the London HIV Ambassadors Programme, delivered through Terrence Higgins Trust, supported by Fast Track Cities London.
The London HIV Ambassador Programme tackles societal stigma and supports London’s ambition of reaching zero HIV stigma by 2030. With lived experience at the heart of the project, the Ambassadors deliver talks across London’s Health and Care sector on the realities of living with HIV today by raising awareness and sharing up-to-date, scientific information along with their personal stories.
We’ve seen first-hand the harm lack of information can do. Stigma stops people accessing testing and treatment, and misconceptions mean people living with HIV aren’t always treated with care and respect. If we want to put an end to the virus, we must ensure everyone gets tested, and those working closely with people living with HIV have the necessary knowledge and understanding.
“I found the stories very moving and really thought they added value to the session, helping us remember that despite U=U, the work is not done.”
The HIV Ambassadors can deliver sessions face to face or online. Book your session now!
We can also arrange a call back to chat about how we can work with you, just drop us an email ambassadors@tht.org.uk.
We look forward to hearing from you!
