Invitation: Help understanding MSK referral services (60-min research session)

Posted on:

We’re part of the NHS Website team and are conducting research to better understand how community-based musculoskeletal (MSK) services are delivered, including how referral processes currently work.

In these sessions, we’d like to explore:

  • How referrals to community MSK services are managed
  • How primary care interacts with cMSK service delivery
  • What systems and tools are currently in use
  • What’s working well, as well as key challenges and opportunities for improvement

We’re looking to speak with a range of roles, including:

  • Reception staff
  • Practice managers
  • IT leads
  • Clinicians
  • Others involved in MSK referral or service processes

What’s involved?

We’re running 8 online sessions, each lasting 60 minutes.
These will be informal, semi-structured interviews where participants can share their experiences of current ways of working.

The purpose of this research is to build a clearer understanding of how services are currently delivered and accessed.
