Havering – Experiences with Long COVID – residents and primary care professionals
Most people with COVID-19 feel better within a few days or weeks of their first symptoms and make a full recovery within 12 weeks. For some people, symptoms can last longer. This is called Long COVID or Post COVID Syndrome. Long COVID is a new condition which is still being studied.
Havering Council’s Public Health team is working with Havering North PCN and Healthwatch Havering to gather information about local experiences with Long COVID through engagement with:
- Residents living with Long COVID (https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/LongCovid23/)
- Primary care professionals supporting residents with Long COVID (https://forms.office.com/e/k2chuUiK3F)
They would like to invite primary care professionals working in Havering to complete the survey linked above. It covers questions about your experiences with managing patients with Long COVID and seeks to identify training and learning needs for managing these patients.
They would also greatly appreciate your support with promoting the survey for residents living with Long COVID. Please especially share this survey with patients you manage who have been diagnosed with Long COVID or think that they have Long COVID.
This information will help us improve support for residents with Long COVID in the borough.
Both surveys have the deadline of Monday 4 September 2023.
Please contact Sedina Lewis, Public Health Specialist (sedina.lewis@havering.gov.uk) if you have any questions.
