Gastroenterology GPwER training funding – Expression of Interest – DEADLINE 25 JULY

Kindly see link below to the Expression of Interest (EOI) for the GPwER in Gastroenterology Training Programme, which includes background, scope, and the application form.
This is a nationally funded two-year programme designed to support GPs to develop extended roles in gastroenterology, working at the interface between primary and secondary care. It includes:
- One supervised clinic per week in a secondary care setting
- A structured education and assessment framework
- A focus on integrating trained GPwERs into local pathways and community service models
We’re particularly keen to engage areas with RTT pressures, high GI demand, or an interest in innovative community-based models.
The deadline for EOI submissions is 25 July, and the aim is to notify successful systems the following week to ensure timely mobilisation.
