Change to Newham foot health service

Posted on:

From 29 September, the Newham Foot Health service will no longer be operating from its Stratford base in Ferns Road. Going forward, the service will be provided from its two other sites: Shrewsbury Road Health Centre in the north of the borough and Appleby Road Health Centre in the south of the borough.

Patients who attend the Stratford service have been advised their next appointment will be at one of the other sites and there will be no interruption in their treatment and care.

The Newham foot health referral process is unchanged. Referrals can be directed to: foothealthserviceelft@nhs.net or via the online referral form which can be found on the ELFT website: https://www.elft.nhs.uk/services/foothealth-service-newham

Please note they do not accept referrals for basic nail care. This service is for patients with a medical need that puts them at high risk.

Referral forms are triaged by one of their Podiatrists. People who meet the access criteria for the service will be invited to attend a triage appointment. They will advise you of the outcome of your referral.

For a time, capacity for podiatry surgery will be reduced and they may have to offer the service from another site. But they will inform patients of this when booking them in for their procedure.

The contact number remains the same: 020 8496 9007 if you have any queries.

This website is for healthcare professions only.

It is not for public use.
