Tropical Medicine is a nationally commissioned service and the bites, stings, and animal-related injury service at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases offers high-quality, specialised treatment, care, and expert advice to patients who have experienced animal or plant-related injuries.
The team can provide treatment and advice on a wide range of conditions including:
- insect bites and stings
- animal bites and stings
- plant stings and injuries
- infections following animal injuries
- advice on exposure to infected animals and animal products
- ectoparasite management
- animal identification
Eligibility Criteria
Exclusions: patients under 18 years
