BHRUT – ‘Not our Patient’ correspondence

Posted on:

GP practices send BHRUT letters back when the correspondence relates to patients that are not registered with their practice. Up until now, these letters were coming through via the post. BHRUT now have a dedicated email address for BHRUT Outpatient Clinic letters. The email is: bhrut.gpletternop@nhs.net

Please only send BHRUT correspondence back. This email address is for Outpatient Appointment (OPA) consultation letters and test results only.

Their dedicated Data Quality team check and verify the patient details against the NHS SPINE (Summary Care Records) and update the records and systems held by the trust.

Please attach letters for each patient individually as they have to be able to forward them to the current/new GP. Attaching multiple documents to one email is fine though.

The team will endeavour to send correspondence on to the new GP practice. If the new GP details are unavailable they will be kept, and the NHS SPINE reviewed regularly for updates over a period of time.

BHRUT are unable to do that for correspondence sent to practices from other organisations. (different NHS trusts, private sector health organisations, other hospitals, community providers, NELFT, GOSH etc.)

Inpatient EDS and ED EDS should be going back to eds.edsbhrut@nhs.net  or eds.bhrut@nhs.net

This website is for healthcare professions only.

It is not for public use.
