BHR – Temporary closure of x-ray service at Fanshawe Clinic
Upgrading of the X-Ray services at Fanshawe Clinic
From the 12 April 2024, patients will benefit from a newly refurbished X-Ray facilities at the Fanshawe Diagnostic Centre. Patients accessing the Plain Film services on the Fanshawe site will notice significant improvements in the available services.
BHRUT is placing significant investment in updating the existing analogue X-ray equipment to the latest Digital Technology. This will yield improvements in Diagnostic Image Quality, accessibility, and reduced waiting times.
Whilst this work is being undertaken, it is necessary for the Fanshawe x-ray service to be temporarily diverted to other sites.
From Thursday 1 February 2024, patients will be unable to access the X-Ray services, however, they will continue to provide walk-in X-ray services at the following locations and times.
Please ensure that you advise patients to bring the request form with them when attending for X-rays.
Monday to Friday
- Barking Community Hospital (Upney Lane) 8.30am – 1.00pm, and 2.00pm – 6.30pm
- Harold Wood Polyclinic (Gubbins Lane) 8.30am – 12.30pm, and 1.30pm – 6.30pm
- Queen’s Hospital (Rom Valley Way) – 10.00am – 12.30pm, and 2.00pm – 6pm
- King George Hospital (Barley Lane) – 10.00am – 12.30pm, and 2.00pm – 6pm
Please attend either Queen’s Hospital or King George Hospital with suspected fractures relating to:
- Hip/Pelvis
- Skull
- Spines
