Dear colleagues,

I wanted to send a brief reminder to join us for the London BCYP Neighbourhood MDT Community of Practice Event taking place on Thursday 10 September 2026.

We recognise that many colleagues may have been away on annual leave when the original invitation was circulated, so we wanted to make sure nobody missed the opportunity to join us.

Our third BCYP Neighbourhood MDT Community of Practice event is part of this year’s #AskAboutAsthma campaign and celebrates 10 Years of Asking About Asthma. The focus on how neighbourhood approaches are necessary to improve outcomes for babies, children and young people continues, using asthma as a practical case study to explore what effective neighbourhood working can achieve. 

The event will bring together colleagues from across primary care, community services, acute providers, public health, local authorities, education and the voluntary sector to:

• Share learning and examples of neighbourhood working from across London.
• Explore how multidisciplinary neighbourhood teams can support better outcomes for children and young people.
• Discuss opportunities to reduce variation and improve equity of access and outcomes.
• Consider how neighbourhood models can strengthen prevention, early intervention and integrated care.
• Help shape the future direction of neighbourhood health for babies, children and young people in London.
