Dear Practice Manager and PCN Manager,
General Practice Staff Survey (GPSS) 2026/27 – Reminder and Action Required
We are writing to gently remind practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to complete their staff list submission for the General Practice Staff Survey (GPSS) 2026/27.
The GPSS forms part of the national NHS Staff Survey programme and is now a contractual requirement for GP practices and PCNs delivering primary medical care services under an NHS contract (GMS, PMS and APMS).
Your participation is important. The survey gives staff an opportunity to share their experiences of working in primary care and provides valuable insight to help practices, PCNs, ICBs and NHS England identify areas for improvement and support staff wellbeing, recruitment and retention.
Action Required:
The sampling period is now open, and all practices and PCNs are required to submit their staff lists via the online portal by 1 September 2026.
If you have already completed your submission, thank you and no further action is required. If you have not yet submitted your staff list, we would be grateful if you could do so as soon as possible and avoid leaving this until the deadline.
