London’s first Stop Smoking London LGBTQ+ Week (27–31 October) will highlight smoking rates within LGBTQ+ communities and raise awareness of the tailored support available, including face-to-face services and the Smoke Free App for London. The comms pack, which includes suggested posts, graphics and video case studies is now available on the London Tobacco Alliance website. Please share and use during the week.

As part of the ‘LDN smoking and the LGBTQ+ community’ campaign that will be running from 27-31 October, the London Tobacco Alliance is running a webinar for healthcare professionals , tobacco control leads and related professionals, featuring various speakers with expertise in this area discussing the issues related to smoking faced by the community, sharing models of bespoke support and engagement and holding a panel discussion. They will also be sharing stories from members of the LGBTQ+ community who describe the factors around smoking and their journey to giving up.

London Tobacco Alliance – celebrating successes and looking to the future
The London Tobacco Alliance is holding an event to celebrate its third anniversary and take a look back at its impact, and that of its partners, to reduce smoking in London – and outlining future tobacco control priorities for London.
The event takes place between 9am-1pm on Wednesday, 5 November at Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, 108 Stamford Street London SE1 9NH.
