Coming Soon: Freedom To Speak Up service for general practice
This month, NHS North East London ICB will be introducing an independent Freedom To Speak Up Guardian service for everyone who works in general practice across North East London integrated care system.
This will be provided by The Guardian Service who are independent specialists in speaking up.
The service is there to support anyone who wishes to raise an issue, concern, or other matter but feels that they cannot use an existing route for doing so (eg raising with a line manager, a practice manager or someone else within the practice).
Guardians will listen and help someone determine how best to have the issue addressed. They can also raise a matter in confidence to an appropriate person if someone feels unable to do this themselves.
Guardians will always act independently and impartially.
As the service launches, Guardians will be attending local fora to explain the service and how to access it – be sure to look out for it on agendas.
We’ll also be providing more information and resources on the Primary Care Portal and through the general practice bulletin.
