Suspension of Homerton Healthcare fertility service – update & next steps for patient groups
Please find here an update following the extension of the Homerton fertility unit’s license suspension until August 2024.
This includes an important update on the next steps for patients who were booked for a first appointment at the unit, but were not seen as the unit had to close before they had their appointment. This group represents a cohort who have not been seen and who are currently awaiting a new consultation. It has been agreed that these patients should be referred to their GP to start their new journey.
We do appreciate that this will be additional work for Primary Care, in a sensitive situation, and want to thank you for supporting our system in this way.
