Delays accessing pathology sample results

An internal error has resulted in the incorrect processing of a number of electrolyte samples. The error means some samples were labelled as too old for analysis and were not analysed. We have identified the samples in question and are working to analyse the samples as soon as possible. If your patient’s sample was affected, you will receive an updated report by the end of the week. We appreciate your patience and recommend waiting to see if you receive an updated report before re-calling patients. 

We apologise for the inconvenience and are taking appropriate steps to make sure this does not happen again.
