End of year 2023/24 Direct Enhanced Services and Safeguarding Local Incentive Scheme

This email provides further information for the direct enhanced services (DES) and safeguarding local incentive scheme (LIS) claims and processes for the full year 2023/24. DES 2023/24 and Safeguarding LIS Quarter 4 (Q4) and End of Year Payments

• Minor Surgery

Practices that provide the Minor Surgery DES must claim on the quarterly practice claim form (refer to attached quarterly claim form) and submit with the information extracted from their clinical system (validation report) in order for a payment to be validated by the Q4 submission deadline. Please ensure there is no patient identifiable data on the extraction. To note practices need to confirm if they are referral practices and the levels of provision- please see Minor Surgery Tab on claim form.

Practices are reminded that all performers/practitioners that were due re-accreditation during 2023 for Minor Surgery should have completed the re-accreditation by the end of March 2024, otherwise claims for payment may be withheld.

• Learning Disabilities

The extraction for Quarter 4 will start in early April 2024 and the data should be available to view after mid-April 2024 (subject to CQRS confirmation). Practices will need to declare their achievement after this date in order for the commissioners to authorise and release accordingly.

• Safeguarding LIS

The Safeguarding LIS will continue for Financial Year 2024/25 and will be subject for further review. For practices that have signed up to the Safeguarding LIS, the Safeguarding LIS claim form must be completed and returned by Q4 submission deadline. Please do not include any PID in the submitted claim form.

Payments – For financial year 2023/24, the Q4 deadline for submitting claims is 10 April 2024

• Neonatal Hepatitis B
• Meningococcal ACWY
• Meningitis B (babies)
• Childhood immunisations (under 2 and under 5 year olds)
• Rotavirus
• MMR, (16+ years)
• Seasonal influenza, (including childhood seasonal influenza and fluenz)
• Shingles, (including catch-up)
• Pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccination (PPV)
• Pertussis in pregnancy
• PCV/Hib/MenC
• HPV
