GP Direct Access Community Diagnostic Services ErS update and referral guides
Following our previous message to GPs on 22 February 2024, informing you of the outcome of the procurement of community diagnostic services and advising you of issues with ErS, we can confirm that the ErS issues for the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest have now been rectified and ErS functionality is now available across all six boroughs (Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest).
Please can GPs and referrers use ErS to make referrals as advised previously.
For Tower Hamlets: GPs in Tower Hamlets are asked to note that additional GP Direct Access Community provision for USS and Cardiology is now available and will be provided by Omnes Healthcare. GPs can now refer patients into these services. MRI provision provided by Inhealth continues as before.
