BHRUT: Suspected Cancer Pathway (2ww) for Breast referrals is moving to Directly Bookable on e-RS

Posted on:

From 1st September 2023 the process for Breast Suspected Cancer referrals (2ww) will change and become directly bookable on e-RS.

This means you will be able to book the first appointment for your patient. The patient can also book this themselves if they have been given the UBRN and their password.

This will also provide patients with more choice on the time and day of their appointments, just like you already do for the Upper GI 2ww service.

Once the UBRN has been created then the Suspected Cancer Pathway clock will start, and e-RS will record and audit. If for any reason the appointment cannot be booked, then you need to Defer To Provider so the referral can be triaged and booked by our Cancer Referral Office.

The Service that shows on e-RS is still the same: 5212067 – 2WW – BREAST – King George Hospital RF4 – BHRUT

Please continue to attach the correct Pan-London forms, clinical information and any attachments as necessary. The directory of service has been updated, please review to ensure the patient is provided with the information regarding their appointment. Thank you
