This partnership brings together NHS England and public libraries to tackle digital exclusion and help people access their health information in trusted, local environments. During this session, you’ll hear from library colleagues about how this collaboration is working and how we can strengthen it together across your integrated care system.

Why this matters

We know that 86% of the public trust librarians to tell the truth, making them the third most trusted profession in the country. By working together, we can ensure that people who face barriers to digital access can learn to use the NHS App with support from trusted professionals in their local communities.

Library teams are being equipped with training resources to support people in accessing NHS.uk and the NHS App – helping them book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, and view their health records.

What you’ll learn

During this webinar, you’ll discover:

– How the partnership operates and the support available to library teams

– Practical ways your primary care colleagues can work with local libraries

– How to support digital inclusion sessions in your area

– The resources and toolkit available to customise for your local context

Your support is needed

We’d be grateful if you could cascade this invitation across your patch and encourage colleagues to attend, particularly those working in primary care settings. It’s vital that GP practices, pharmacies, and other primary care colleagues understand how they can:

– Signpost patients to library-based digital inclusion sessions

– Support people who need help using the NHS App

– Work collaboratively with libraries to reduce digital exclusion

The more we can raise awareness of this partnership with primary care teams, the more effectively we can support patients and reduce health inequalities in our communities.

Please feel free to share this invitation widely with relevant colleagues.

If you have any questions ahead of the session, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Best regards,

Digital Partnering Team
