Extension of Estradot and Cefalexin Serious Shortage Protocols (SSPs)

Because of ongoing supply issues, we are extending the Serious Shortage Protocols (SSPs 079, 080, 081 and 082) currently in place for Estradot^® 25mcg, 50mcg, 75mcg and 100mcg patches, all of which are due to end on Friday 2 May.

The new end dates for these SSPs are as follows:

• SSP079 – Estradot^® 50mcg patches – Friday 4 July
• SSP080 – Estradot^® 75mcg patches – Friday 23 May
• SSP081 – Estradot^® 100mcg patches – Friday 23 May
• SSP082 – Estradot^® 25mcg patches – Friday 4 July
• SSP077, Cefalexin 125mg/5ml oral suspension sugar free, which was also due to end on Friday 2 May is also being extended. The new end date for SSP077 is now Friday 1 August.

The SSPs are available to view onthe NHS Business Service Authority (BSA)’s dedicated SSP web page.
