Academic GP Advanced Fellowships – NEL ICB & QMUL
We are launching an exciting pioneering training programme, which is a partnership between Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) Primary Care and the North East London Integrated Care Board, and are recruiting 20 academic GP Fellows to work 50:50 in academic and clinical practice, for up to 5 years.
You will train as an Academic GP Fellow in health data science, research methods, and the clinical effectiveness approach, to develop into future leaders delivering clinical improvements in primary care across North East London. Successful applicants will be matched to, and provide clinical services in, a GP practice in Barking, Dagenham or Havering, and develop their research skills as part of the Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG) in the Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH)’s Centre for Primary Care, QMUL. You will train and add academic depth to the CEG, working with Primary Care across North East London to secure the best Quality Outcome Framework, with research into enhanced risk prediction and disease prediction around QRisk models.
QMUL & the Wolfson Institute of Population Health’s Centre for Primary Care
QMUL is one of the UK’s leading research-intensive higher education institutions and the Wolfson Institute is international leader in population health, primary care, and preventive medicine. You will contribute to research aimed at improving population health, reducing health inequalities, and advancing quality improvement initiatives in primary care using electronic health records.
