Posted on:

A Serious Shortage Protocol (SSP082) has been issued today for Estradot® 25 microgram patches, which are currently in short supply.

The SSP will allow pharmacists to substitute the equivalent strength Evorel® or Estraderm MX® patch.

The SSP came into effect on 3 March and is currently scheduled to end on Friday 2 May.

In addition, the three SSPs currently in effect for Estradot® 50, 75 and 100 microgram patches (SSPs 079, 080 and 081) are being extended from their previous end date of 4 April and will now also end on Friday 2 May.

The SSPs are now available to view onthe NHS Business Service Authority (BSA)’s dedicated SSP web page along with supporting endorsement guidance.
